sooo im starting my build after awhile of waiting for parts ,
soo its a 1991 civc hb . im in the works of putting tein basics on it
i have the driver side done , im working on unseizing the rear control arm bolts and im running out of ideas on how to get them
off, the driver side i had to cut them but i really dont wanna do that

the bolts seized inside the bushings? its really common for older hondas and integras, basically if you cant drill it out, heat it up and pull it out, or just hammer it out, if all else fails then you will need new lca's its better to buy aftermarket ones like skunk or megan, they are way cheaper than oem,

it took me around 5 hours of everthing i could try to get them out, i just ended up buying new lca's and what a coincidence i was installing tein basics:banghead:

Haha it took me about the same but I just went to honda and ordered new bushings they were only 20 bucks

:werd: Im confused as to what you're trying to accomplish with this car? are u just slamming the car and leaving it at that? or are you just buying whatever you get a deal on with no real direction for the car?
I know you mentioned gutting the car - are u planning on tracking the car?

This isnt really a "build thread" more like a few pictures of coilovers installed on a rusty civic...
no offense..

It was a Work in Progress til he decided to sell.
Not that i'm "sticking up" for him.....Just filling you in!

$1400 coilovers on a $400 car?...

Sheesh....Cut a guy some slack!
Surely he won't get his cash back but its all about passion for the game.

yeah ok i get that, but doesen't it make more sense to add $1400 and such in misc. parts to the $400 car and buy something better?.

besides, he sold an M3 for THIS?.

i understand it's all about modding cars and the joy of it, but this decision boggles my mind, completely.

^YOU are win! That's what I don't get! E36 M3 is such a great car. Just wondering if it was a E36 325i "m3 special" edition! LOLOL just like all of them on kijiji

Its all about the stance!
At least hes putting quality parts on it rather then ebay specials.

Definitely makes Financial sense since its value for money.
But seeing something like this chop up a newer model car down the 400 or even around a track is definitely more fun/enjoyable/satisfying.
I'm not denying what you're saying is correct but i guess each of us make decisions cos:
-we can justify it to ourselves
-we're spending our own hard earned cash

Valid point.
E36 M is still a dream of mine (which i hope to achieve someday) but look at the list of cars he's owned. He didn't literally sell the M3 for the EF. there were several cars in between.

Anyway, I'm going to leave Portuguesenrg to speak for himself.
I just wanted to chime in cos i faced pretty much the same comments when i built my last track car & i face the same questions with my present build.

I'd take a built ef over any super car. If I won a super car I would use the money to travel to different parts of the world and find the most mint ef's and bring home a fleet of cars !
