I'm thinking about painting my hood bra (just the top piece) to match the colour of the car (red). I heard it might work if you use some sort of paint elasticizer (spell?) or something to make the paint more flexible when it bends. Does anyone know any shop or even something that you can get at Crappy Tire that can do this?

I thought about that.. but I want something I can take off whenever I want. I only use it when I go highway driving or on the dreaded deerfoot, etc.

You normally dye leather, not paint it. A place that does upholstery for furniture could tell you how to do it.
