I just discovered this today, and I thought it was worth passing along.

unsure if this works with other cell phones or land lines, but TELUS has a service called Text to land line. sooo....If you have a TELUS cell phone, try sending a text to a land line with a simple "lol" in it, and listen to what happens.

had a bunch of us in stitches at the office after i discovered it while troubleshooting a trouble ticket for a client.

So why don't you tell us what it does since the majority of people don't have Telus cell phones.

You've received the following text message from a rogers wireless customer. "WahHAAHhahHAha."

Basically the text to landline gets translated from text to voice, so instead of the voice saying the letters LOL or trying to pronounce it, it will actually translate it into a pretty hystarical laugh.

it reads out the text message in a computerized voice. was funny the first time

This has been available for a while with Rogers. I punched in a wrong number on my phone when sending a text and i got an auto reply back asking if I wanted to send the text to landline.

Someone texted me a bunch of stuff but to my office number by mistake. I had Telus called me like 10 times in a roll non stopped with all these t2v calls.
