so heres my problem the company that im working for says we cant work more then 8 hours a day cause they dont want to pay ot which is cool ive been in residential construction for a few year and have never made ot but i was wondering if there is any way that my employer can let us work just straight time all the time ive looked on the employment standards site and cant find anything if there are any people on here that run companies/ or have info would be great thanks

Depends on how you're paid. As a contractor, yes, as an employee no.

At my job we get our overtime put in bank and can put it toward a day off like Rat Fink said or just get a pay out. The one issue is they put it into our bank a 1.5 x pay because it was OT
