If you bought a used amp without the high level accessory input, or an onboard input, you might have a problem unless you can locate the clip from another source. If you bought your amp new, you should have received a small clip that attaches to your amplifier and has some wires extending from it. These wires connect to your speaker wires (most likely the rears, since they are closest to the trunk) and you can substite this method with the RCA method.
