Lexus was never known for originality...look at all those MB look-alikes from the past...

their lx430 looks near exactly like an mbz

that concept does look kind of like a maxima (overall body shape...)

also the new ls430 looks like the mercedes s class. reason being notice the wheels, they look very similar to amg style wheels.

I'm seeing the new 7/5 series from the B pillar back. I'm not seeing much max tho, the decklid is much shorter the hood much longer and there is a strong character line that flows into the tops of the tail lamps. Personally I'm seeing more BMW influence here then anything.

I don't really see a resemblance to any type of AMG wheels.........I'll do a photo overlay for you...and you will see the comparison between a mbz and the ls430...body lines and all are very similar

my mistake then.....just never seen an ls430 with those wheels yet. I have only seen the ones with 7-hole wheels

here's a quick comparo I did......there are similarities between the ls430 and the new w220 style s-classes but I didn't feel like pointing any more out :D

even got a few similarities with the e-class (the lights if you were to look at the back of the ls430 look really like an e-class's tails)

lexus needs more original designs and needs to stop copying the germans....and in 04blacks case they have even started making cars similar to japanese cars as well

Given that Nissan borrowed styling ques from the G2 GS for the past Maxima model, it wouldn't be far fetched to assume both vehicles will look similar now since both companies borrowed styling ques from their previous models for the current and upcoming models.

Why don't you compare the old GS to the new one. It's not like it's a break through new design. IMO it's the old GS revamped. Square dropped off rear end, longer front end. It does have similarities to the Maxima though.

Copying successful ideas, and making them BETTER works. Works for Lexus. Works for Microsoft :).

A Maxima with a Toyota badge. :dunno:

And the SC 430 reminds me of an Audi TT. Its just Lexus' way.

Not Porsche ? I know both Porsche and BMW offered "triptronic" tranny in the early 90's ...
