Ohhh, official specs!!! Time to benchrace :

2005 SLK 55 AMG - 360hp, 7 speed tranny, 3400lbs no driver.
2004 SLK 32 AMG - 349hp, 5 speed tranny, 3250lbs no driver.

I think the new car's gonna have a slight edge... now, imagine a supercharger strapped onto the car.

500hp, 7 speed tranny, 3400lbs no driver. :eek:

Too bad the car's so fugly. I still hate it. Maybe it'll look better in person...

7 speed shiftronic, the paddle shifters are fun to use but id rather have the classic 5 spd

AMG. Definetly a weird design with the large emblem and whatnot, but i think it will be a very impressive car in person.

rage... Kleemann has a supercharger application for all the AMG NA 5.5l V8s - Output is 560hp+ and 530 lb/ft of torque!!! :eek: :eek: on a 3400 lb car?!?!? I cannot wait - The E55 killer!:burnout:

Gimme a year or so - I'll convince you to get one ;-)

hehe once you get it, let me know if it has an LSD. That's probably my only real concern, if you don't count it's butt ugly looks lol.

Speaking of LSD... I know a guy who will do a conversion for $1,200... interested? He know his stuff and here's what he says

"I can make ANY Mercedes Diff a Limited slip for $1,200.
"We don't weld them. We disassemble the diff and remove the carrier. Then disassemble the carrier. We machine down the two spiders that spline into the output shaft and install clutches on them. Then we fabricate a steel block that goes between the two spiders and houses springs that apply pressure to the spiders and thus the clutches. These springs are interchageable and can be replaced.

The whole unit can be ''repacked'' at any time."

I think they look good ! I like them more then the oldone, it is more stylish then the old SLK, but the old SLK is a classic now ! :thumbsup:

However, it in other market, I will go for a 206CC, or 306CC...etc...:nut:
