infinti fx35 vs acura mdx

Hey guys,

Just curious about opinions between the two. Any current owners with issues? Both have pros and cons obviously. Both would be 2011 models:

2011.5 FX 35 with navi (which now includes 20' rims and power tailgate)

2011 mdx elite

I'm not familiar with infiniti's - has anyone had any huge issues with them or reliability problems / mechanical? And for current owners would you recommend it?

Gives you "some" idea of the apples to apples numbers. Keep in mind the Acura seats seven and the Infiniti five, so the cargo numbers, seat sizes, etc are not as apple to apple.

My cousin has a Infiniti FX 2011, what's not to like in a vehicle with 4,000K on it? Too soon to tell.

When we bought our 2010 MDX we looked at the FX as well. I guess it depands on what you are looking for. Cause the 2 are at opposite ends of the SUV spec.

FX is way more sporty and feels like a car but is low on utility it is like a 4x4 G37 but shitty for anything but basic people hauling, but the MDX has way more utility and still fairly sporty, third row seating and is a better family SUV.

Both are realible and good buys, depands what you are looking for.

go drive both and buy whats best for you cant go wrong with either one.

I had a 04 FX35 Tech and it was great with no problems at all til the kid came, stroller in the trunk and it was full. So sold it and got a 2010 MDX tech package cause it has so much space. So far no problems with the MDX. Both vehicles are great but I find the Acura alot smoother and a better bang for the buck but if I didn't have my son, I would get the 2011 Infiniti fx35 in a heart beat. It's just a funner vehicle to drive and looks much better than the MDX in my opinion. Not sure if there is much difference between the 04 and 2011 FX besides the appearance but if you don't need the space, I'd get the Infiniti.

Just drive both and don't do what my buddy did and get a ZDX over the FX50, Q5 and GLK.

Thx. I've already driven both. Just curious what others think. One thing that annoys me about tr Mdx is no smart key / push start for such a pricey car. Does anyone know when the Mdx is due for a redesign? 2012 or 2013? Also links to spy or rendering....

i own and still drive the fx45 06. very little room for cargo, but it drives like a car. damn the new one cames with 20" wheels now damn! the only reason i got the 45 is cause the 20" looks better then those 18" on the 35.

and no problems yet! on my fx *crosses fingers*

Since the FX35 is same would you guys recommend the new x3 28i or 35i?
