it says its an auto, did the type R come in auto? or is this a fake type R. Doesnt look too bad, dont know why it is non-repairable. the auction is tomorrow, might grab it if it is worth good money to sell for parts.

Type Rs and Civic Sis never came auto. But that car is a 5spd, and it is a Type R.

I'd give 2-3 grand.

Picture looks like it's a stick and the redline matches Type-R's

didn't the type R have the word "type R" in the guages? and didn't the type R have the engine in the other orientation, ie. the intake manifold on the opposite side from what the picture shows?

I know i saw that on a few speed tech type R's

bid 2k if you want to break even pretty much. remember there is "buyers fee", GST, and removal fee and then towing you will have to factor in as well.

besides the engine (which COULD be burning oil) and transmission, there is not much money in the parts of that car. integra parts are dime-a-dozen and the front bumper is damaged on that one... that car is worth ~$2500-3000 parted out (been there, done that and i still have parts left over as not many ppl drive these cars any more as they are getting old). you have to ask yourself if it is worth the work for a couple hundred dollars.

usually cars become "non repairable" automatically if they used to be salvage status at one point and are hit for a 2nd time. (i think that front bumper was re-painted by the looks of it, also, air bag system was removed)

anyways, good luck to you mang and keep us updated

it would probably be worth picking up if you get it for under 2g. The engine and trany $2500, 5 lug swap $800, usdm r rims $500. I am sure there is a bunch of other stuff on there you can get between 50-100 for, shift knob, strut bar for example. There may not be to many people that drives these cars anymore but they still have quite the following.

for a shop it would be easy to charge those kind of prices for the engine and the other parts (customer base, credibility, warranty etc.)...for a private seller, it will be much tougher. more like ~$1500

This is true, I would not pay 2500 for a high km itr engine that has no warranty as per other parts. Same as the suspension and wheels may be bent, etc.

Also have to account the offers you will be receiving are not even close to your asking price give or take

Plus, your time to meet with potential buyers and pull the parts out

Now if you are using all the parts for your own project car it's a different story

Yea $500 for stock wheels? $800 for used hubs? You'd have to be the most jdmtyteyo to pay those kinds of prices for those items. The point was also raised that you don't even know if the engine runs!

You would be wrong on both counts. The reason you speed tech's Type R is different is because that is not the stock engine it is the K20 out if the DC5 Honda Integra (aka RSX) that engine is the stock B18c5, same as every other B series civic or integra. The clusters also had Type R in them the civic and integra type r had Type R in the cluster, the civic SIR had SIR in the cluster etc

i dont plan on paying anything close to 2 grand. its not the first non repairable car I would have bought

I had a look at it, doesnt look bad, very clean on the inside looks like it was taken care of. original type R key (look cool) I tried starting it but the battery is dead!

the rad support is pushed back a bit, nothing to serious.
