Found the price on a german site.

SLK 200 Kompressor: 33.524,00 € = 54,681.07 CAD
SLK 350: 43.384,00 € = 70,760.54 CAD
SLK 55 AMG: 63.974,00 € = 104,343.42 CAD

Seems like the front end is a little too cluttered IMO. Overall decent looking car but not spectacular looking.

it looks more like a mini SL than ever, from the back....its not that amazing looking in the pics but i guarantee it will definately grow on most of us when we see it in person as did the new 7-series and 5-series!

um.. most manufactures are doing the same thing now .. first BMW (people don't like the New 7 ).. Nissan (see how ulgy the new Maxima and the Van) then Audi with funny grill .. now Benz ..

But I think the more we see, the more we will like them ! :)

I think the new SLK looks ugly. The last generation was nice.
I still think the new 7 is ugly. The last generation was really nice.
I still think the new 5 is ugly. The last generation was a classic.
I still think the Z4 is ugly. The last generation was the best looking of the modern roadsters.
None of these new groundbreaking designs are growing on me at all. It's because I'm not blind.

I'm with Rage on this one, except I kind of like the new SLK, a bit more aggressive than the last generation, although I think it could have been better. I'd forgive the lack of superb looks from this model if they can get back on track with the build quality.

O-60 probably about 4.8 with the new transmission and added hp should deal with the added weight, hopefully. If this is the case I'd drive one.

I read the article, 0-60 is stated as 4.9, good enough. I doubt that pricing is correct though, because that would put the SLK amg on par with the CLK55 for pricing. I couldn't justify 100g's on an SLK.

I like the new SLK but with prices like that and money constraints, I'd probably settle for an 01/02 SLK 320 instead.

I like the Z3 over the Z4 and the current 5 series is really starting to grow on me, the 7 series looks like ass still.

:eek: I love it! The interior looks cheap but I like the updated dash. Wonder if the new stereo will be any better? :dunno: If I get one, for sure I will not get yellow. I don't think it will look good in yellow.

I guess the resdesign of the body isn't all about looks.


The beautifully shaped body of the new SLK also stands out for its technical merits: no other roadster in this class matches its superb Cd value (0.32)...

IMO I think it looks awesome.

The 7 does look better to me than it did when it first came out, and it is still better than the previous 7.. the 5 has WRX taillights who the fuck wants that?? the z4 rapes the the z3....end of discussion girls. The new SLK will be better looking than the previous because Chris Bangle isnt designing it. You will start to like it soon enough...

As for the comment about the SLK looking like a mini SL, well it is supposed to. Sport Leicht Kurtz Kurtz meaning short.... SLShort...:rolleyes:

:) Drove one last week. It's better in the flesh than in pics. Build quality great. Looks 100% better than outgoing model. prettier than SL, it's a little like a small SLR.
