They will sell them at Seiko dealers, but the MSRP is over $500 on a rubber strap which is way too much.

You can get them brand new for $150 from international sellers.........

Never pay MSRP...

then again, they are perhaps the most practical and reliable divers watch period ever

The jewellery place across from that XXI/La Senaza (which I'll walk to when the wife is shopping there) at Cross Irons has a wide range of Seiko Makos, and other divers.

I remember seeing the big monster on sale for $350... and I think they may have the origional 007 as well

I am not sure why you want Seiko. Citizen Aqualand Eco is the watch of choice wherever you go in ~$300 range. To be onest with you I can't remember seeing one sporting Seiko ever and I dive for last 15 years.

Here is the link for good and reliable on line source, got number of items from them. Locally I would go to Aquasport in Marda Loop.

Here are the online shops that I've used:

http://www.interwatches.com
http://www.jomashop.com
http://www.luxurybazaar.com

For the higher end and REALLY hard to find pieces, I've mostly used this guy:

http://www.watches.de/en/index.html

He's like the Kulu of watches. Finds me stuff that's almost impossible to get, and ships out of Switzerland so it's duty free. I just need the EUR to tank a little more before going back.

Seiko is probably the most respected movement maker outside of Switzerland, they make some great watches. That being said, most dive watches never see water, so it depends on what the OP is looking for, the classic dive watch look, or the functionality. You're comparing a mechanical watch to a quartz. 2 completely different target markets.
