I've got a weekend up in kicking horse starting friday, and it's looking like it's going to get DUMPED! (like over 50cms in 4 days)

How much snow does it take for them to close the pass and me not being able to get to golden?

In 23 years of going to/from Kelowna and Revelstoke during the winter, we've never seen this section of highway closed due to too much snow. There's been temporary stops due to controlled slides that had to be cleared or mud slides in the spring/fall, but never closed due to too much snow.

Just check the highway before you go. I had to turn around by Field one time due to a bad accident. Take your time if the road is bad. It's better to be there half an hour late than not making it. KH with a dump of snow is awesome.
