VISA in Hawaii

A friend and I proposed the idea to take off 3 or 4 months to travel to Hawaii. While there, we would want to work, pretty much anywhere.

How difficult is it to obtain a VISA for something like that? It would be sometime in the summer.

I would guess pretty hard as the econ is pretty shitty. I was just there and most people working there wanted to get off the island.

Pretty sure you need a job lined up first.

TN Visas restrict what you can do. You have to qualify for a very narrow range of jobs.
