Dodge Sx 2.0 Repair

Hey Beyond,

Just wondering if someone could give me an idea what a repair on a bumper of a 2006 SX 2.0.. I need the bumper removed, new one installed and painted.. attaching a picture of the damaged area.

All help is greatly appreciated.. Thanks :D

dude you need to resize that pic for anyone to see it properly.

-buy primed bumper

- set up some kind of thing to keep bumper elevated off your garage floor which you have taped 2 layers of newspaper to cover.

- wipe away any dust or debris with a soft cloth with abit of rubbing alcohol on it and warm bumper with heat gun.

- stand back a foot or so and gently mist the surface with your rattle cans (several OEM paint suppliers in calgary will mix you up some cans). Do many many light coats.. get to aggressive and it will run.

- let dry over night

- warm up again a little bit and lay down the clear coat in the same methodical manner.


alot of other things you could do to make the job better, but that light yellow will lay down easy and imperfections will be less obvious then say dark red or black. Look up a procedure online for more detailed info.
