transferring saved games xbox 360 ?

I've been searching for awhile but i can't figure out how to do this. I tried saving the file to a usb and then copying to the profile i want the file to be saved on but it show a " this item cannot be transferred between profiles " message. Is there anyway to transfer? I'd rather not restart my games.

AFAIK you have to buy a SD card adapter microsoft sells

You can't transfer a game save to a different profile. The game save can be transferred to a different console and used with the same profile though. You have to be signed into the profile that the game save is locked to.
