You've been working it FT for awhile now, the company offers you FT perm. You're sick of the job and don't find any enjoyment or fufillment in it anymore (the work just isn't your forte, it was alright for the time being but long term its just not your thing)...at least not FT. You don't want to tell the company this obviously, but if you only had to work it PT say 2-3 days a week you could tolerate it while still having enough time during the week pursuing your forte work.

If you ask for 2-3 days a week does that make you look bad? My guess is it makes you look like you don't want to be there anymore since you're not willing to devote 40hrs a week. Am I wrong? Should I even bother asking or just flat out decline the offer?

EX. Using the word "forte" is not your forte there's nothing wrong with the OP's use of the word forte in that instance.

Actually, I think that is the point. He said "what your forte is" and then used it saying your "forte" work (which is what your forte is). Not really proper english, but it linked the two sentences together fairly well and clearly got the message across.

For the internetz, I approve :poosie:

Are you guys university grads who took english and basketweaving 101 as a major and now you can't find related work in the field so you homos come online to use what little piece of an education you have to "show your stuff?" Maybe you guys need an interesting part time job to spice up your life?

Exactly... I will correct someones grammar or chirp for it if it didn't make sense and makes the thread brutally hard to read. This was not the case, and his point was clearly conveyed.

People dumb times with grammar comprehend can't CAN'T

On topic, I work for a company that pays on commission, where things get discounted to the point where I don't make my commission. I have a boss that snaps like crazy, and has even told me that I am useless and a waste of his time, for reasons completely out of my control. The company is facing bankruptcy and blames its salesman for it, saying we are not doing our job good enough. NOT to mention that I get a base wage for these 6 months of $2000 a month, even though when I applied for the job they told me $2500 a month base, AND in the contract I signed in the beginning it states $2500 a month... Breach of contract right?

This company I work for? Soundsaround. I have no qualms openly talking negative about my company on a public forum. The place fucking blows and I hate my fucking job.
