convincing people to scrap thousands of used cars and buying new ones instead of keeping and maintaining their old cars and saving on the biggest waste, consumption. You tell me, how many years of driving a prius will make up for this consumerist waste? This is nothing more than a cult. It has nothing to do with maintaining a clean environment. On another note, no amount of browbeating middle class yuppies will make up for the carbon emissions that are coming from devolving countries like China and India. The only thing that will save the earth is a giant asteroid hitting it and wiping out about 5 billion people.
