Hey guys, I've always wanted a 2nd gen MR2, today I just got one from jdmsource! It's a '93 turbo w/manual, just ultra clean! And mint

The cars bone stock ATM, so what mods are recommended that offer the best bang for buck?
I'd post pics but don't know how to upload them to PB from my iPhone, I'll do so later from my computer, I'm stoked! :D

Check out Power Primer area, for the basics.
I think that's the site, reply if it doesn't work.

I'm starting from the bottom up myself. I only have a intake and boost controller up top (that came with the car), but I'm rebuilding my transmission over the winter, with a LSD, good clutch, upgraded axles, and brakes so I won't have to worry about anything down there no matter what power levels I go to.

Power primer is a great start. Join MR2OC as well, a lot of knowledge on there.

Most important things in MR2 ownership? A set of fender covers to make sure you don't scratch up your paint, and a foot stool to make leaning down into the engine bay easier.

What happened to the Probe?

I suggest these mods:
-Vibrating seat
-Multi-colored headlight inside the glovebox
-Multiple batman switches on the dashboard
-Blue sharpie headlights
-FULL home theatre sound system

A boost controller and gauge is the best first mod IMO.

However, do NOT play with the boost while using the stock gauge. BAD BAD BAD.

:dunno: The worst you'll do is hit the fuel cut... which will scare the shit out of you, but that what it's there for, to protect the engine.

This is the one I'd like to purchase next though, it's both a digital controller and gauge

Wow you have a great memory! Very impressed.
That car died a miserable death shortly after the last time I saw you. The tranny blew on it, so I sold it for parts for $200.
I've had a LOT of cars since then.

Right after it was an '84 S10 with 800k kms on it LOL
Then this

^Actually 4 of those over a 7 year period

Then a black '90 Trans am GTA that my bro didn't want.

Then this.

And a few other cars in there not worth mentioning.

Sorry - I always forget about the fuel cut. I installed an EMSpowered gauge and it removed the fuel cut, so I never really had an issue with it.

Just make sure there isn't an FCD or aftermarket ECU before you mess with the boost if you're not getting a gauge. You never know when you buy a used car.

I would go in this order...

Gauge
Boost Controller
Exhaust
DP
ct20b
