I have been trying to find a cheap one forever, having almost zero luck.

Why not just rent one from uhaul? They're only like $50 for a day if returned locally.

^ this, only issue may be that sometimes it is hard to track one down so you'll have to call a few locations (at least I did)

i was going to but was hoping for a full flat bed, not just a tire dolly

yea they have flatbeds, they are called auto transports there.

If I remember correctly from when I rented one you need a 4 pin output for the trailer lights but they sell adapters there for about $25.

The trailer also has its own braking system which I found was a plus when I hauled my car out to BC a couple years ago.

oh, i thought they only had wheel dollies..

other issue is there "pre inspection" as it is a project, its kinda in pieces.. ha

Pre inspection? They only "inspect" the tow vehicle which consists of you signing paperwork inside and them saying "good luck!"

ooh ok :)

the way i read it was it meant the vehicle to be moved

Yeah, you use their web site for the booking, it will tell you who has one available, then on the day before they call to confirm the pickup time. Once upon a time they had a reservation guaranteed or else they pay you $25 or $50 clause, I dunno if that is still around or if that applies to trailers.

i can book the truck i need.. but because of the "one way fleet" they cant guarantee it

damnit.. lol

and it has to pass their weight criterion for towing. They won't allow you to tow a vehicle with say another car or a wagon etc (but you would be pretty stupid to try this anyways).

haha yea, i told them i was gonna use my Ram 1500 or the rental 26' truck that i rented...

but they cant guarantee me the trailer anyway...
