Aside from having the most high speed trains, and unbelievable "Train stations"....

This is sure a cool ass idea... Bus on rails holding 2000 people, 100mph, that straddles normal roads so cars can drive under it. lol

if they need too many of them, wouldn't it cause bigger jams at intersections?

Easy solution... build yet a BIGGER bus to go over this bus and carry 10X the people.

Gees, who reads any other section here besides "General" "performance" "Health" and "Politics" lol

Then how about their high speed train terminal? I dont get out of Calgary much, so it's been a while since I've been on Canada's bullet train.... is the station comparable? :dunno:

This would be a great idea for the "high speed train" between Calgary and Edmonton. The existing overpasses would cause a problem, obviously, but would probably be cheaper to modify them, then to have to buy land to put a real train in.

It is neat, but I honestly don't think 100 mph is fast enough for a "high speed train" to be a economically viable or good alternative for the Edmonton-Red Deer- Calgary commute.

I think maximum acceptable time from Calgary to Edmonton would be about 1 hour.
