Just a heads up for anyone that uses home road coming from marketmall to bowness(south down the big hill) that there is a pretty big pot hole about half way down the hill. A good samaritan warned us but about 4-5 other cars weren't so lucky havin to change thier tires...
Holy Shit.
Thanks for the heads up!
I travel on this road quite a bit.... Pothole sounds pretty significant.

yah its been there for the past couple days. sucks pretty bad. If you try and swerve around it you risk crashing into oncoming traffic

They have a pylon there now, not sure when they're planning on filling it though.

So, do these people who had to change their wheel have a case against the city for not properly maintaining the roads?
I know it can be difficult getting compensation for damage due to poor road conditions, but from the sounds of it, this is pretty blatant.

^ no, the hole would have to be there for months before the city would consider any type of compensation. I've seen this before.

I bent two rims on my old car from a massive pothole on elbow once and I tried to get the city to pay and just got a big run-around.

I'm surprised that Home Rd doesn't have more problems than it already does. The hillside it is built on is extremely unstable and has a tendency to wash out when large amounts of water are present in the soil (recent warm weather anyone?)

if its a big pot hole that means that under the road a pipe has broken and thats what made the road to brake. so just filling it wont solve the problem
