sunroof specialists in Calgary

My BMW 5-series has the infamous sunroof drain clog issue. I can probably manage to keep the drains clear.

However, a more permanent solution involves having a sunroof specialist install higher capacity drains with tubing less likely to crimp.

I don't trust the dealer to do this, obviously...and otherr BMW owners have suggested a sunroof specialist.

Do we have such a shop in Calgary?

also, and not to hijack this thread buuut. do these guys cut new sunroofs for cars that dont currently have one?

Back in the day when we used to put sunroofs in cars that didnt normally have them, we just searched the junkyard for an applicable shape and size we liked. In that case you can slavage all the parts you need instead of having everything custom made. You get the bracket, Seal and Glass, and you can install (or get it installed) however you like.

^ what he said. Otherwise whatever you do do NOT go with anything generic. We had a (pre) 2005 mustang come in to this ford dealership I used to work at. It leaked like a civ, and looked even worse. You should have seen it :nut:


To the OP: I think the best thing you can do is get on the phone with a few body shops, or dealerships and ask the service manager who is the best person/place to call regarding sun/ moon roofs, and get a feel for it that way. To my knowledge there isn't any specific sun roof business in Calgary however
