Trucker runs motorist off highway and doesn’t stop to offer assistance wanted by cops

Strathmore RCMP are looking for the driver of a semi-trailer truck whose poor driving forced another driver to make an evasive maneuver and end up in the ditch, then didn’t stop to provide assistance as required by law.
On February 7, at around 12:30 p.m., Strathmore RCMP were called out to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 560 (Glenmore Trail) and Highway 24. When they arrived, they found a single vehicle in the ditch, on the east side of Highway 24. The driver had sustained minor injuries.

Police were told that a semi- trailer truck pulling a “B Train” had failed to stop at a stop sign, causing the other driver to end up in the ditch. The semi continued eastbound on Highway 560 without stopping to provide assistance. The driver of the vehicle in the ditch was unable to get a license plate number or note any identifying marks on the semi.

The RCMP in Strathmore want to remind drivers that this particular intersection is very dangerous and has a high incidence of accidents. They encourage drivers to be aware of posted road signs and to travel carefully on Rural Secondary Highways.

RCMP are asking anyone with any knowledge of this incident or any other incidents to contact the Strathmore RCMP at (403) 934-3968 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477), followed by contacting Markham so he can actually break a story instead of the tedium of daily copy/pasta from generic news releases. Rearranging sentences and finding synonyms is tiring work.

Probably the other way around. The driver had been a dick and the trucker gave some payback.

WTF? He ran a stop sign, so according to that little fact the driver wouldnt have even seen the truck until it almost creamed him... :facepalm:
