For 2011 the base model DE added a few features not present in previous year. The DE now comes with traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, air conditioning. The lancer DE gets 5 stars as an IIHS top saftey pick. Corrolla got 4 stars im the same test. It aslo comes with 7 airbags, mazda 3's base model has 6. Its 10 year 160 km power train waranty is better than indudstry standard 5 year 100km and the 5 year 100 km new vehicle warranty is also better than the industry standard 3 year 60kms.
Fuel economy is 8.4 liter per 100 city and 5.9 highway ( 34/48 ) which is about 10 percent better than last years model. At 17,598 plus taxes and fees the DE is a good value for what you are getting. Zero percent finance over 36 months is available as well as no payments for 90 days.
