just wondering what the export hours of operation are for the Sweetgrass US border for getting the title stamped for export.

Also, I know its possible but just wanted to make sure Canadian side has no problem processing paperwork for SK bound cars and not just AB vehicles ?

I crossed my truck in newbrunswick, and then drove to AB.. They dont care where you cross it as long as your paper work is there 72 hrs prior, and you pay the tax rate of your home province.

The Coutts/Sweetgrass border is a 24 hour crossing. However, I have been told in the past that if you show up after midnight you might have issues with the US side. The 72 hour thing is for the US side - not Canadian. The US side needs a copy of the title sent to them at least 72 hours before the car arrives. They have to check and make sure it's not stolen, etc.

The border/federal government doesn't care where the car eventually is registered. All they want is their taxes.

I am aware of the 72 hours rule. Im just wondering if I show up at 3:00 AM on a Saturday morning, can they do an US export stamp or will I have to wait at the US border till they open at 9:00 in the morning ?
