LOL>.. notice that the BLOCK gets blown in half! (pistons still on the bottom half, top of block and heads get blown off).

BTW, depending on class tractor pullers with compound turbos/blowers can make 250 psi boost ;)

agreed, for an engine like that to be ripped apart really puts some perspective on the power those machines put out,

I'll never understand the logic behind these retarded tractor pulls.

I remember seeing one with 4 twin turbo V12's in it. It was something like 30,000 hp.

I dont even want to know how much that thing cost to build... and for what? to pull a weighted sled in a straight line?
...oh... okay.

^ I feel dire pity for the poor sap that would have to rebuild one of those. 42 cylinders, with who knows how many valves.
Interesting that at full throttle it doesn't pour any black smoke.
Here is a compilation of many more accidents.

^ The one at 4:48 is pretty intense. Those turbine engines wont shut off.

EDIT here is a video just about that 42cyl engine.

147.1 Liters of displacement, fuck me. I will never complain about the cost of gas ever again.

I think its a pretty amazing engineering feat to build one of these, although its not my style I respect the amount of work and engineering that goes into these beasts

Sure let us know how a 12,000 pound engine pans out in one of your builds.

Not too sure how much it cost to machine the various parts down to 8800 pounds for that particular engine but wow... talk about blowing insane amounts of money
