Well the first was just a theft of every joke I've heard in every other movie, what can they possibly do with this one? I still want my money back for the last one, definitely not seeing the sequel.

As much as I enjoyed the first one... is there really a point to a second one?

For sure there is...to try and bleed as much money out of a movie franchise as possible. They will only stop once the profit does.

It's a comedy, it doesn't need a point.

See, and I equate this movie with SuperBad. Something that (while blown up to be over the top) is like real life. Having been to Vegas twice, and getting annihilated on a 5 day bender, I completely understand the movie, which makes it hilarious.

Same with superbad and everything that goes on in it. That shit is funny!

dont find it funny? you have no sense of humor..

Jeremiah
02-25-2011, 07:27 PM
I didn't think it was as good as superbad, but because I love Vegas so much I loved it.

And I really like the characters!

Hope this one is even better!

But yeah where the fugg is Doug?

See I love hangover but I hate superbad. I find superbad soo predictable, I've seen it happen in a million movies where virgin guys want to have sex with girl type thing. Hangover was for more adults, who's been to Vegas or has been married and had a crazy bachelor night. I can watch hangover any time and never gets old. So when someone says hangover is not funny and Superbad is better I just picture the poster as being in HS and waiting to get laid. :dunno:

meh, not my style. could also be that i don't like the dude from The Office or the dude that plays doug. enjoy your sequel, i'll go watch paint dry :dunno:

was the person who said that Out Cold and Employee of the Month being serious?
those movies were both shit! you probably liked Hot Tub Time Machine too.?!

Thought that movie was hilarious. It is a stupid comedy. You take it too seriously and yeah you wont find it funny.

Cant wait for this one. Looks like he got a face tattoo!

What ruins all these comedies (this one in particular) for me is people in the theater (and I am not sure if it is just my luck or what) to my immediate left or right laugh so uncontrollably and obnoxiously (literally spitting out bits of popcorn) after every bit of dialogue that it simply makes the movie annoying to watch, and leaving me with an overall bad impression of the movie.

I am just not into all these stupid comedies I suppose.

Dumb and Dumber still makes my guts hurt from laughing after the 200th time, what gives?

Dumb and Dumber is a huge classic. It's absolutely in my top 5 comedies of all times.

I also agree with how you feel, when I watch comedies with one of my buddies he's like that (the ridiculous laughing) and it almost makes it uncomfortable to watch with him...

not surprising- in a case like this. people go in hoping it will be the funniest movie in history.
So they laugh at everything and the mob mentality means practically everyone else does too.

Hell, I bet people there even laughed at Zach Galafianakis.

The best review so far...

"If you want to avoid plot spoilers for The Hangover Part II, don't watch The Hangover."

Baby=Monkey
Missing Tooth=Face Tattoo
Tiger=Old Man in Wheelchair
Missing White Guy=Missing Asian Guy
Fake Baby Masturbating gag=Fake Monkey BJ Gag
Photo Montage at the end=Photo montage at the end

^Yeah, I went in expecting it to be Hangover 1.5, but I still figured it'd be hilarious. It was.

If this shocks anyone, the plot isn't deep at all. It's just a bunch of ridiculous shit that keeps happening across 1.5 hours.

As a whole, it's not as funny because of so many similarities but it is far more over-the-top than the first one.

I didn't go in expecting it to win Best Picture, but I was pretty disappointed.

The first one was great but this one lacked the element of surprise. It was very predictable - it had it's moments but really didn't laugh a whole lot.

I'll probably get crucified for saying this but thought Bridesmaids was actually a helluva lot funnier.

Basically, the first one was a 9 and this one was an 8. Doesn't mean it's not good - I really enjoyed it. And it's just fun watching it in a theater full of people. Everyone went bananas at certain points, like the ladyboy reveal (not a spoiler, because if you're too stupid to not see that one coming, well...). Also, Zach G was hilariously awkward.
