Obviously we aren't talking Tein Coilovers, but what about a decent shock/strut combo? Something that feels good to drive on but is also somewhat sporty?

So nothing top of the line, but a best value for money type deal. Your input is appreciated.

Oh and the car is a 1989 240sx coupe.

Honestly, there are people that say a strut and spring combo can be good, im not a believer. The BEST bang for your buck is coilovers hands down. I used to play with springs and struts and i dont care for them. Keep an eye out on kijiji and stuff, as well as call jdm tuners, they always have a few sets around for that price range. Beware of leakers. You shouldnt be able to easily compress the coils, should take quite a bit of effort pushing them against the ground.

Sorry man, i have nothing in your price range for s13. My friend is selling a set of Tein Type Flex for s13, a bit out of your price range tho

i may be able to get you a bit of a deal on them but not much, they are in great shape for one, and for two they are low KM.
