For those who don't know, Roch was considered one of Canada's three most dangerous criminals.
In the 80's he led a small religious cult which was comprised of mostly women and children.
It was a polygamous cult based on some sort of bullshit religious ideas.
Roch was extremely charismatic and maintained a small but strong following.
He had 22 children from different women most of whom were his wives.
He committed terrible crimes on his followers including sexual abuse of children, rape of women, castration of young boys, religious rituals involving human sacrifices, unsuccessful surgeries on members who had fallen ill, amputation of limbs, and finally murder.
There is an excellent film about Roch and his cult titled Savage Messiah. I highly recommend it for those who don't mind gore, brutality, and sad endings.
