Apparently, written and directed from the US, but the entire animation and drawing was outsourced to Japan. Nice combo. Might be worth watching Saturday morning cartoons again if they don't make it TOO silly.

Wow .... It looks like Japanese animators are still using templates from "Ghost in the Shell". :thumbsdow

Just finished watching the first episode (well, first and second put together to make a 1 hour premiere).

Verdict: It's a little overacted at parts (what cartoon isn't?) but they really have a solid base to build off of. If they can keep the same energy and quality going... it might be the first North American cartoon I follow in quite a few years O_O

Revelations: I'm pretty sure that if Michael Bay came asking for this one, they'd shove him out on his ass. I'm willing to bet that the Studio 4C (the Japanese studio doing the animation) has a lock on the first movie rights :P

If I really have to find fault with the new Thundercats, it's that I didn't like the bit with Wily-Kit and Wily-Kat in the run down house.... it seemed too overacted/underacted... when you see it, you'll know what I mean.
