PTZ webcam (iPhone access) (Baby monitor)

So instead of a cheap baby video monitor that can be bought at TRU, I was thinking of setting up an IP enabled webcam.

This has the advantage of me being able to see the kid from work too! haha

Any recommendations?

The wife and I thought of this too. The problem is that when the baby is down, the light will be off it will be too dark for a regular IP camera.

At my office I setup a couple Vivotek IP8332 cameras. They support IR, and work with Zone Minder. But they are not PTZ...


In the end, we bought a fixed video baby monitor. It was quite a bit cheaper than an IR IP camera, and it came with a nice handheld unit.
