Looking at some quotes now that I have picked up another vehicle. The best quote I received was 203 /month for both my talon tsi and jeep. I'm 20 with about 2 tickets still on there.

Anyone recommend anything cheaper?

Mom/Dad

Intact (ING) can be cheap for some

all-state if you have a good record

Walakalahara or whatever the fuck it's called was pretty cheap. - somebody might know what company I am talking about.

A broker should help you find something.

I guess my record isn't that good... I'm with my parents right now and they are going to want 1800 a year for each vehicle. The recent quote is like 2100 for both.

TD monex is the one who gave me the 203 /quote

I'm with TD MM as well.

You're 20 and they gave you a quote OP? Thought you had to have a degree to be insured with them.

Im with RBC Insurance.. Full coverage + Renters Insurance for 160/month. Not to bad considering I have had a claim in the past 3 years.

ING was quoting me over 200/month just for my car.

Probably meant to say Wawanesa: yes they are cheap, but don't even get what you pay for. Full Collision coverage to them means pick up the tab at your own convenience and fight for a year to get some of it back.

Do not recommend unless bare minimum insurance is required.

After posting in here, I decided that it was time to shop around, and I am still finding Intact the cheapest.

Intact - $6600
RBC - $6800
Aviva - $6800
TD - Awaiting reply

I honestly cant wait to turn 25 this year.

Yes, but have been clean for 5 years almost. Everything before Oct 2005 was just just a disaster. "The Young and the Reckless", if you will.

Honestly though, this is how much I have paying since I started driving when I was 16. I have just gotten used to it.

Just as a question out there, how far back do insurance companies look when quoting? (I know all are different, but a ballpark guess would be nice)

Oh, you should be fine. Your rates shouldn't increase much, if at all. One infraction doesn't do anything. Multiple will.

If that is all you have on record for your driving career, then it makes sense. Just for curiosity, what is your deductible? I have a $1000 deductible on full coverage.

Just for reference for others here to compare, I'll post up some stats I just received from my insurance broker.

-64 moving violations between 2002 and 2005 (65 total from 2002 - now)
-2 Claims (1 in 2005 & 1 in 2009)
-2 no-claim collisions (these don't count to your rates unless charges are laid, or no money is paid out)
-1 suspension in 2006 (conviction from 2005 collision)

Like I said, I have been keeping a clean record (minus the one claim in 2009 and one ticket in 2010) for almost 5 years now and have 2 demerits left. I really hope the rates will drop.

Currently I need to be on my dad's insurance just to keep costs down to keep driving/working. Under my father, I am paying about $1800/year. Notice how I am still paying more than you Cos? lol

If there are any insurance brokers on here that wouldn't mind quoting on these stats, feel free to PM me! lol

for my Truck i use Competition insurance, saved me 1000 a year last year and went down another 200 this year...

2009 Ram - full coverage - 205/mth
-1/2 tickets on my ins
-1 accident back in july of 2006, will be off my insurance on my next renewal (aug)

my bike, i use blue circle

Im with Intact (ING)

Paying about $3700 a year full coverage on my 08 Mustang.

Averages out to about $361 a month. I called a few places to see if I can get cheaper but no luck. Itd be more expensive.

My parents have been with ING for almost 11 years now so I get cheaper rates threw them.

2 tickets on my record tho unfortunately but shit happens.

Im also 19 tho turning 20 here soon. Probably the cheapest I can expect for a sports car and my age.

im with state farm, got my 03 cobra and 98 blazer there. Its around 290/month for both vehicles when the are both insured (cobra only has fire/vandalism during winter months).

My mom has been with them for over 30 years and Im a student with GPA discount so I think i get a pretty good deal.

im 22. no records in the last 5 years.

TD MM is cheapest of the ones I've checked although I didn't check too many at the time. I think they do insure anyone, and if you are part of an alumni or group you get a discount because I remember filling out the online quote it asked if you are part of an alumni/group and if you are, you are eligible for a discount.
