Does your tub not have a thermostat that regulates the temperature?

Of course, i guess for some reason there was a power surge and it tripped the breaker. I called Harbour Spa's they said they ahve had 4 or 5 calls this week with the same issue:nut:

Not a good sign - hopefully your pump/heater assembly and pipes are okay. Biggest problem will be the pipes away from the motor compartment. Best of luck to ya although the weather isn't looking promising for the next little bit.

Friends of ours had their brand new tub quite working and discovered a solid block of ice - chances are they'll be looking at a new tub. Ours is still humming along although it's been working overtime during this cold spell - currently at a balmy 104.

Yikes! How long would it take to thaw it out even if you can hoard it up with a heater? It doesn't look like it will get warm till next weekend. Looks like you are gonna be stuck with a block of ice for a while.

Problem will be the pipes away from the motor compartment - you just won't be able to get heat to them. Suggestion would be to get motor/pump thawed out if frozen, remove top layer of ice and remove any remaining water - hell of a job in this weather and then get tub looked at when warmer weather arrives.

Happened to me once in -30. The breaker blew and we were out in the middle of the night bailing and then sucking the water out of the pipes with a shop vac.

Shitty deal

The power in my neighborhood was flickering really bad last night. I am going to go down and check on my hot tub as soon as I get home. You have me scared now

If you don't want it anymore, I'll take it off your hands... won't even charge a pick-up fee

If you don't use it. I'd just winterize it just to save the hassles and electric bills.

Ouch, you could be in for a world of pain.
Hope for the best but prepare to bend over.

You can expect to replace most internal pipes but if the ice caused your Jets to crack - then you might have to spend around the cost of a new tub.

shitty luck man, my advice would be to leave the breaker off, don't try to power it up, open the drain pipe and hope for the best. Tomorrow should be warm so hopefully you can get some of it melted.

But again, do not try to power it up.

If its not covered under warranty iam gonna get rid of it, I dont use it enough to justify the additional repair cost. And it will free up some room in my yard for a nice fire put area.

Yeah for a second I thought something happened to your Lambo as well. :nut:

Hopefully you can still salvage that hot tub man. I can't wait until summer, time to get a ride in a lambo! :D
