Hey guys so I just got back from Dominican Republic, I was there for a while without my GF, so we are planning on going up to calgary this sat to celebrate our "Valentines Day" anyways she wants to do something fun during the day. So I thought some of you guys would be able to help.. whats there to do during the day in calgary?

I thought about going ice skating but im not sure where to go, so if someone knows of a decent place that can rent the skates thatd be great..

Im open to all sugestions.. thanks in advance

Skate rental available there. Only place I know of that rents skates for the public.

How about you tell her to wait another 11 days and you can celebrate a way better version of Valentines Day together. No skates needed.

for a more romantic/ nicer, natural scenery rather than an indoor rink, I would suggest going down to bowness to skate. Rent skates at the Uni and head down to Bowness and skate on the river or whatever it is. All depends on the weather though.

Skate rental at the oval is only for the oval. You can't leave with them.

Oh really? I just assumed since they rent out rafts for the river in the summer, that taking the skates off UofC property would be fine as well.

Rent skates at this place in Bowness.

Then hit Timmies and head on down to Bowness Park.
