View Full Version : Most comfortable casual shoe

Just wondering what you guys would say the most comfortable casual footwear would be? I bought a pair of shoes from Aldo a few months back and ever since I've owned those shoes I've formed probably 4-5 blisters on my feet and they aren't going away... needless to say yesterday I had enough when I had to rub my feet because they were killing me so bad yesterday. I leave for China at the end of the month so I want to get a new pair of shoes soon to break in and hopefully have those blisters gone by then.

Preferably as well to have them look something like this:

http://www.skechers.com/style/62609/talus-darko/wbk
http://www.skechers.com/style/62609/talus-darko/wnv
http://www.skechers.com/style/61779/diameter-heisman/cdb

Like I mentioned, something casual - NO RUNNERS/SKATE SHOES - I need to wear these shoes for work and they don't have to be the most casual as im walking into and out of peoples houses all day so they need to be easy to slip on and off. I know I'm linking skechers, but I haven't had the BEST experiences with skechers in the past...

Thanks in advance guys, if you could let me know the brand/design of shoe as well as approx price and what store you got them in in Calgary I'd greatly appreciate it! :) (My feet will thank you too lol).

Those look great! Not a bad price either... any stores in Chinook / Southcenter sell them? I could order them online, but I prefer trying them on in the store first since my feet are between 9.5-11 depending on brand/style.

rock ports are extremely comfortable. check them out in the new section of chinook. Some of them have in-soles made by adidas but are dressy/casual shoes.

I just checked and North Face makes some inthat style. I've good luck with their other products in the past.

Patagonia as well...I might have to go to MEC this weekend!

Not sure if Hush Puppies have a style that you are looking for but they are gonna be the most comfortable shoes that you will wear.

Check shoe stores in Chinook and Market mall. I know that Winners occasionally carries them as well.

I got them at the Patagonia store downtown, but I have seen them at Coast and SportChek since then.

I usually rock the standard Adidas 3-stripe in various styles. They fit me really well, and look fine IMO.

Do you guys find those slip on shoes stay on well, or do they slip at the heel?

I ruined my last pair of SB's, went to Adidas, then back to SB's....
Dont think i'll be switching back to something else for a while.

Puma makes stylish, comfy shoes. Mostro is one of them. :)

Has velcro and it comes in very conservative colors.

Cole Haan's are pretty comfortable and aren't overly pricey.

Certain Diesel shoes are super comfy. I have a pair that's 7 years old and they have so many holes in the sole. Wait until they are on sale though, most are overpriced.

Also check out some Fred Perry shoes as well.

Some Nike SB's, Adidas 3 Stripes, or some of the lower end Lacoste loafers would work awesome. I have a pair of each haha, different shoes for different pants.

I don't know if I recommend the Dunk Highs, but the Dunk lows are nice looking shoes, not that the Highs aren't (I own a nice little collection) but they are a little flashier and can get hot haha.

Gave up on stores like Aldo years ago. I found out that spending some money on a good pair not only feels better on the feet, but will outlast 2 or more pairs of Aldo type shoes.

I have a pair of Ecco that I like.

No worries, I'm looking for a new pair of skate shoes for personal wear anyways since my vans are just about dead (had them for about 3 years now and holy shit were they comfy).

This. Holt and Harry Rosen sell them. I think Feet First might sell them too, but I could be wrong.

For winter: A good set of Munson last constructed boots like these: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/49464?feat=507280-GN2

For summer: Boat shoes, Vans Authentics or Converse Jack Purcells with no socks.

This is, of course, if you want comfortable shoes that actually look good, too.

I guess I am a little late, but I will second Cole Haan Loafers with the air heel.

I picked these up a couple months ago and have been loving them. air heel is really comfy. I have been wearing driving loafers and mocs a lot lately.

Cole Haan Air Bryce Driver (http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/product.jsp?catId=100&productId=384786&productGroup=314939&pwpHash=shop,pwp,c-100/f-10002+70016+4294966276/t-MEN%27S|LOAFERS_{AMP}_MOCS)

Those are pretty sweet man. Do you find they stay on your feet really well? Like don't flop around in the heel?

I don't find they are any different from other moc's, loafers, or slip on shoes, if they fit properly they won't slip, I have a slightly narrow heel and these fit fine without slipping.

No socks? Really? My Purcells chafe my Achilles' tendon when I wear ankles and end up with a red pair after a day of walking.

Rockports are awesome with the Adidas sole. It's like stepping on clouds.
