Hey guys, just thought I would share this company with you. They have some pretty smokin deals on steam showers, tubs, saunas, etc.
Way better price then trying to hire someone and having a custom shower down.

Are you getting your price through your builder?

The New Yorker is reasonable... the rest are hideous though. I wouldn't want one in my bathroom, even for free. To each his own I guess though.

I just prefer the look of the ones that are built in, not prefab... but like you mentioned before: cost is always a factor. haha.
edit: Damn this thread, now steam shower google ads are living on my beyond page haha

See, everyone has different taste. I think that looks like something out of the 1980's.:dunno:
The workmanship looks great, but the look, not so great.

I can't wait until your house is built and your posts go back to normal, or at least $100 lunch normal... Every one of your posts is subliminally douchey to me, “ha guys, look at this really expensive shit I’m buying.”

Wow most of these comments come from poor people. These are not primary showers, they are like a kids tonka truck in a 5th bathroom. I have 13 of them myself!

Rather pricey at $2-3k a piece but for remodels on inner city houses $500k and up they may add value to otherwise small and unimpressive bathrooms.
When installing numerous shower heads like that, I think I'd prefer to just buy it as a system too.
Nice find on the site. Bookmarked for future renos.

A conventional, built-in steam shower is going to cost in the area of $8-10,000 for everything. Those self-contained units are way cheaper. Like Coupe says, It's just a matter of personal taste. However they won't add much equity or re-sale value to a home like a conventional shower either. It's like comparing an original AC Cobra to a kit car.
Btw, there's a local distributor of similar units: http://www.steamshowersdirect.ca/

I stay at the Lodges in Canmore, and there are 2 of these in the suite. the master has the St. Kitts, and the other bathroom has a smaller one. They are nice as a novelty, but I agree with Dave that a custom built-in shower is far superior.
I am always amused when I shower in these things... there is a computerized voice that talks to you in broken english with a chinese accent. when you start it up, it says something like "Welcome Happy Shower." LMFAO
we're going out next weekend, actually, so i'm going to find out exactly which models they are, maybe i'll take some notes and write up a short "review."
