what do you mean by this, pm if you want. what car's 2.4 fits in there? Or was the stocker bored out, etc.

any idea if this is a map or maf based car?

Hey,

The standard motor out of the box was Toyota's 1.8 L motor coded as 2ZR-FE or as part of an option package you could upgrade to Toyota's 2.4 L motor called 2AZ-FE which is the base motor in todays Toyot Camry.

2AZ-FE is a 2.4 L (2362 cc) version built in Japan and at TMMK in the USA, obtains a total displacement of 2362 cm³ with 88.5 mm (3.5 in) bore and 96.0 mm (3.8 in) stroke, with a compression ratio of 9.6:1. Output is 157 hp (117 kW) at 5600 rpm with 162 ft·lbf (220 N·m) of torque at 4000 rpm. Output for the 2007 Toyota Camry is 158 hp (118 kW) and 161 lft·lbf of torque; 2005-06 Scion tCs were rated at 160 hp (120 kW) and 163 lft·lbf.

2007+ versions of the 2AZ-FE engine were upgraded with 9.8:1 compression ratio, a slightly more aggressive intake cam profile, 6500 rpm red line, and piston oil squirters. Rated at 161 hp (120 kW) they are considered slightly underrated based on dynamometer measurements, and are made in Japan for MY2007-10 Scion tC. A 166 hp (124 kW) version is in the MY2006+ Rav4. This engine is available for the Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe twins as well as the Toyota Corolla beginning in the 2009 model year, replacing the 2ZZ-GE as the "XRS" engine in the Corolla/Matrix and Vibe GT.

A TRD supercharger was available on the Scion tC, discontinued in Spring 2009.
