Car stopped on railway tracks hit by train Saturday night, Calgary man in stable condition
Posted on 06 March 2011 by joann lawrence.

A 43-year old Calgary man was injured when his car collided with a Canadian Pacific train at a level crossing north of Crossfield just before 9:30 Saturday night. The man is in hospital in stable condition, according to police.

According to police, witnesses reported that the man’s Toyota was stopped on the tracks at the crossing at the time of the collision. The driver of the car sustained non life-threatening injuries in the collision and was taken to hospital in Calgary in stable condition.

No one on the train was injured and the train sustained little damage. It was able to carry on its journey.

Airdrie Rural RCMP and Airdrie RCMP Traffic Services were at the scene initially and will be following up with the investigation.

You must suck at life to fail at suicide... just saying.

Some people freeze in a panic situation (deer in headlights).

I read in the paper that he actually faced his car to the train, so it was pretty obvious. IF he was smart, he would have parked across the tracks driver side facing oncoming train. Its either a cry for help, or hes stupid.
