Looks like my macbook battery shit the bed, I am getting less than an hour life off a single charge. It is a 1.5 years old 13 inch macbook with aluminum case and the accessible battery, model A1280 with a 256GB solid state HD.

I am planning on buying a new macbook pro in the near future, but not right away, so I need a new battery to last me for 6mths to 1 year. I called westworld and the apple store and they are quoting me $150-170 for a battery.

I have found batteries cheaper online, i know some are not actually Apple, and are just OEM compatible, but they are only like $50-70 so even if I have to buy 2 is still cheaper than OEM apple.

I am wondering what online stores would you recommend for batteries? I am looking at laptopcharge.ca, update-battery.ca, and laptops-batteries.ca

Thanks for any help

Bump. I'm in the same boat. Does anybody have a good recommendation for a place to get replacement batteries for Mac laptops?

I've looked at:

Battdepot.ca , cheapest but a lot of complaints
http://www.canada-battery.ca
Pcbatteries.ca
Apple, most expensive
