install ad-aware, spybot search and destroy, delete your inet temp files

that's a good start.

Second go to: C:/Hidden Documents/Porno (or whatever your hidden folder is) and erase everything in it.

Maybe try getting rid of some older programs you don't use, more RAM etc.

1. Do a virus scan.
2. Run Ad-Aware and remove all spyware.
3. Run a Scandisk and Defrag.

Do you have the latest drivers for your vid card? When was the last time you formatted your hd?

Depending on your version of windows, and how comfortable you are with technical stuff, click start, run and type msconfig (hit enter).

Choose the startup items tab and look through the list of programs that run automatically on your computer. You may be loading a lot of stuff at startup that you don't really need, and you can temporarily disable them by unchecking them from the list. If you uncheck a hardware driver though, remember that you'll need to enable (check the box) the driver when you intend to use that hardware again. If this isn't clear for you, then let me recommend you don't do this.

PS if you do try this and you see a program in the list that you're not sure of what it does, type the filename into google, and you'll usually get a description of what the file does. If you're not sure what it does, you're better off leaving it alone.
