There was two. No exciting chatter on ch9, I think they were just in the neighborhood. We hung out for about ten mins then turned left. No more pics as I was over the wing, service carts in the aisle, lazy...

With the J-10 having the highest thrust-to-weight ratio, these two planes could easily clear the weather.

Does this have anything do with your siting?

Wow, neat! I bet that was them! According to FlightAware (https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL642/history/20110320/1514Z/KJFK/KSFO/tracklog) and the timestamps on my photos, we were right around here:

12:09PM 40.11 -79.29 275° West 384 442 36,000 Cleveland Center

I listened to the ATC comms from Cleveland Center on LiveATC (http://www.liveatc.net) but it was either the wrong freq or a very bad feed.
