Just trying to learn about the process of importing a vehicle from japan. They show the price of the vehicle plus 1200 shipping cost to vancouver... How do you get the car after that? What other costs are there?

yeah that would be just the shipping cost, there are other fees before it leaves japan and once it gets to the port even more fees... budget $2-$3k depending on how much of the work you do yourself vs a broker. i think to get it sent to calgary is an extra $500? then oop and dot lights if needed, etc... lots of costs

If you take care of the work it's ussaly costs approxx 1500 depending on the shape of the car. Based on my experience I have done 2 in the past couple years. Expect to do brakes and tires.

The customs on my 1994 supra I had was about 1400. And 1200 on the WRX
