Hey all,

I'm from Edmonton, and I was wondering how many SR powered 240sx's we have in Calgary (or silvia's). Currently there are approximately 8 in Edmonton, possibly one or two more. At least thats how many want to be known of themselves. I ask this also, because I haven't been on here in a long time, and I see that there is a lot of talk on here about it. Just curious. Thats all. Thanks.

Aaron

Who cares if they're overplayed, your not doing it to be "cool". Its got more power and potential than the KA. If you are doing it to be different, an RB is definitely the way to go...

Hey guys, I'll get some pictures here soon of the convertible and no its not fake if anybody tells you. They only made the convertable during 88. I'll be in Calgary you better believe it I'll se you all at the track for some fun this summer. Were getting another sr20det powered silvia in April once the swap is finished in Japan.

redbaron303
01-18-2004, 03:18 AM
If it's the one I'm thinking of.... it's Lon Hall's old S13 Convertable, repainted RED with the SR20DET swapped into it before it left Japan. It was an alright car, I'm sure the drop top would be great for summer driving :)

How is the car holding up?

DeathBy240
01-18-2004, 01:44 PM
Yeah that sounds like Lons car.... There will soon be another SR20 in Edmonton!

jdms13rhd
01-18-2004, 02:11 PM
Yep it is Lon's old car. Its holding up great and the drop top is pimp. I got some good ideas for it before summer and im starting the body work here right away so I will have some fresh paint on it. I just baught a bov yesterday. "Turbosmart". Its gona sound good. I know its a heavy car for drifting but once i get my coilovers and some new bushings it will be good enough for me. In Lethbridge we have drift battles in the industrial every friday. We got fc's, 86's, 240's, Supra's, myself, And a dodge shadow believe it or not and it does not to bad. The person who drives it is a crazy driver and he takes a corner's at 55+ mph. Were gona have a video for sale in the summer. Should be not too bad. But ya I got plenty of plans for the convertible and it should turn out to be a good street-track car.

SR20DET = 4 cylinder 2.0L turbo

RB20DET = 6 cylinder 2.0L Turbo
RB25DET = 6 Cylinder 2.6L Turbo
RB26DETT = GODZILLA (next to 2ZJgte) 2.6L TwinTurbo inline 6

SR = aluminum block and RB = cast iron block if i remember right?

silvia_s13
01-21-2004, 05:15 AM
I do believe that the RB25DET is actually a 2.5L
hence the 25 I could be wrong though

redbaron303
01-21-2004, 12:02 PM
Whoops.... a typo on my part, I wrote this before bed last night...

RB25 is a 2.5L (I feel like a loser now, my bad). It was available in the non turbo r32 skyline and the gtst's of the r33 and r34 (I need to do some research on the r34's they're a little bit too new for me :) )

SRBURG13
01-21-2004, 01:10 PM
And this has what to do with the number of SR's around? The 25 in the RB code stands for the number of people in Calgary with the SR?? lol

01-21-2004, 03:01 PM
