A buddy of mine had his car broken into and all the losers took was the faceplate to his deck and his change.

Deck is Panasonic CQ-C8313U. From his owners manual it appears that a faceplate off a CQ-C8413U also fits.

Where do you guys normally go about looking for a replacement faceplate?

I looked on Ebay and found this:
Item number: 370398523733

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370398523733&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.ca%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm570%26_nkw%3D370398523733%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

Its for a slightly different model number (CQ-C8405U and CQ-C8305U). Wondering if anybody has any experience with these, or if you may know where he can find an exact replacement.

Honestly, for the price of a replacement faceplate your buddy would be bettery off just getting a new head unit.

The only reliable place to get them is from the OEM. And they aren't cheap. Even the one in the auction would come to $125 after shipping and taxes. Expect to pay that or more from a OEM.

Here is a full unit that went on beyond in '07: http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread.php?threadid=186048

This unit is so old, a newer equal or better unit should be cheaper to get.

That is a slight derail so here is a list of panasonic parts distributers to make my post usefull:

EDIT: And just because the user manual is for both models, i suspect the faceplates are NOT interchangable.
