hey everyone just need some feedback on which to go for. i got a 01 lude dropped about 1.5", not to sure which size rims would go the best for it. the tire shop im dealin with is tellin me to throw on 18s and go with 215 35 18, but from what i hear that tire size isnt very good when going over bumps cuz ur more likely to dent ur rim and what not. anyone else out there with same car as mine please let me know what u put on and if it worked out for u or not. thanks!!!

Think about rotating mass , the larger the wheel the more it takes to spin. Plus include weight of the wheel into factor. Also offset! Good luck .

Personally, I would stick to a 17" rim and tire on the prelude. Just a better bit overall. You can run either a 205/45R17 or a 215/40R17 without issue with a proper offset wheel. More cost effective and looks good...

17" with 45 series tire
or certain sets of 16" look really good as well.

:werd: i agree with tirebob. these are the same reasons i went with 17" when i had my prelude.

My prelude has 17x8 works on it and i LOVE them... I already worry about them driving on our shitty calgary rims, the 18s wont have enough tire.

My 01 lude has the tire size you listed in your original post. I haven't had any problems with them in the city. However, when I was driving to Kelowna a few summers ago I hit a big pot hole and it bent one of my rims slightly. I'm not sure if the 17" tires would have prevented this but overall I would take Bob's advice. He knows his stuff!
