That car has an insane amount of aftermarket support.

How much $ is your budget? :)

For $3k, I'd start with suspension, and wheels. That'll be your $3k right there :).

After that, bodykit and PAINT! Sorry to say, but u need to change the color :).

No need to apologize.. LOL That color is harsh for a guy to roll around in...

However, congrats on the new purchase. Hopefully I will be making a purchase at the end of this summer... *crosses fingers*

If i were you, i'd make a list of goals with the car in a matter of priority. A lot of people start with a good suspension, and maybe a few visual upgrades like lights of some type of body/lip kit. Then you could go hardcore with an engine swap for some very serious power.

Give us a shout if your looking for some information.

If I were you I would lower it first, and with a tight budget always try to argue the prices (both for parts and labor).

If you wanted inexpensive exhaust you should go to Calgary Muffler (Carline). Although it's not the very best, they do have many quality exhaust systems that sound good and can also give you a little extra power. Go to their website for a 15% off coupon and you'll save a little more right there.

Save up for 17s over 16s if you can.

its only a little civic, so 16 looks good enough IMO. but definiti get wheels first, change the whole style of your car completly!

16's are a better overall size compared to 17's. Get 17's for show.

your first purchase should be some H&R Race Lowering Springs or save your money for 2 months and go with some Tein Full Coilovers.

Suspension and wheels really so set the car off...make it a whole other entity...

HOCKEYBRONX...Dude is posting from the T. Dot...I mean on the budget of 3 grand...its gonna be a HUGE waste of cash for him to zip down here and get his exhaust work done dont ya think??...Even with the coupon...

Dont worry about racing seats... you have much more pressing concerns.

Work on getting your car mechanical fast and nimble before you worry about too much weight reduction and ricing.

Heres what i would plan...

1 - Suspension, Brakes, Exaust

2 - Engine, Transmission, Electical (roughin for additional gauges and toys)

3 - Bodykit, Weight Reduction, Paint

4 - Interior, Stereo

Driving around in a stock looking car that is in between stage 2 and 3 is fun. Total SLEEPER.

Dont waste time with stuff that "looks cool" because its WAY to trendy and by the time you are done the car you with think it is cheesy. This is especially true for you because you will be working on it slowly.

Also, putting stuff like racing seats, spoiler, rims on a stock car is just lame and you will be 100% rice

IMO B20 with a B16A intake manifold for the LS Vtec, torque is what i would go for, cuz when are you gunna use high end speed in the city? if you want higher end top speed change up the cams or you just go B18c5 ether way you have a beast! thats my 2cents
