Canmore RCMP were led on a high speed chase by two Calgary men driving a stolen truck early Tuesday morning. Even after police deployed a spike belt and damaged a tire, the driver refused to stop and even drove into oncoming traffic on Highway 1.

Around 3 a.m. officers attempted to stop a red Ford pickup truck on Bow Valley Trail for an impaired driving investigation. The driver failed to stop, increased his speed and continued on to Elk Run Boulevard. The police pursued the vehicle and determined that the truck was reported stolen from Calgary.

While speeding through Canmore, the driver of the stolen truck almost hit an RCMP vehicle head-on. A spike belt was deployed, and even with tire damage, the driver continued to travel eastbound on Highway 1. When the vehicle was near Highway 22, it crossed the centre median and then traveled eastbound into oncoming traffic.

It was at this time that RCMP stopped their pursuit.

The suspects then drove into a ditch and the two men suspected of stealing the truck fled on foot into a nearby field. The RCMP then called out the Dog Service and the two suspects were apprehended a short time later and taken into custody.

Calgarians John Iestyn Thomas, 39, and Dean Lorne Kocay, 43, have been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Flight from Police Officer. Both men were remanded into custody and will be appearing in court in Canmore Provincial Court.

What is the deal with these news links and reposting the articles? Why the animosity towards Markham? Just wondering. Is he trying to drive traffic to his website for statistics purposes?

Hey guys,

[link]

1. That isn't contributing to the forum. That's spam.
2. Visiting the site results in site ad-views for content that has been copy/pasted from other sources (ie: plagarised) as has been proven many times with many articles previously. First user into the thread copies/pastes the article onto the forum... I mean, the article on the calgarybeacon.com site was copied and pasted from somewhere else (with some words changed to try and make it seem less obvious), what's the difference if we do it here?

Unless you changed your IP 10 times, all you did was waste your time, as ad-revenue is based on unique IP's.

Who's the retard?
