Black vs White - The Mercedes XXX battle

The recent Beyond thread about the SL65 BS vs SLR vs SLS got me thinking...

We have been lucky enough to have had our hands on five different SLRs over the last few years and I think we will see even more SLSs through the shop in years to come.

I have lots seat time in the SLR but I would rather have an SLS in my garage.

Here are two of the cars we've worked on. Which would you pick?

Thanks. We love them (Brabus Forged 20" front and 21" rear) but obviously wheel style is a very personal thing and not everyone will feel the same way. This is a one-of-a-kind set due to the custom color (not available from Brabus).

That SLR looks like a 722, if it is that's what I would rock no doubt. Edit - Don't think that's a 722.

That might be my favourite car outside of Zonda's.

I do like the SLS though as well.

I prefer the SLS. But I would like it more with the SLR rear end. I always hated the way the front of the SLR looked. The front on the SLS is amazing.

No, the doors can pop off in the event of a rollover. There are little explosives on the hinges to help the process along.

They're perfectly safe.

It seems like some of you are forgetting that the SLR doors open up and out as well, and I don't think the doors remove in the same fashion. You'd probably be in more trouble upside down in an SLR than an SLS.

Yup, that guys. Cant find the photos I have of it, but I loved the look of those wheels on that car. Was one of the sexiest cars in Calgary I thought!

A countach is old too, but its still sexy as hell.

Heres how I look at it, The SLR and the SLS are in a couples garage. If the man had to pick one and the Woman had to take the other, we would see a whole bunch of girls in SLS'.

The SLS kind of seems like a SLK or a Miata to me (aside from the HP). Maybe its just me.

The back end of the SLR looks like an Acura.
The side view of the SLS looks like an S2000.

They both look like super versions of the above said cars if you want my opinion. Which you don't :D
