When we first saw photos of this radial airplane engine being mounted in a Toyota MR2 we questioned whether they were real. This unbelievable video proves not only was it not a hoax, the 1940s era 160 hp airplane engine is in the small Toyota and running (very rich).

We don't know much about the setup besides the fact it is equipped with a MegaSquirt electronic fuel injection system and an awesome exhaust system. Not surprisingly, upon completion this radial MR2 will be heading for a 24 hours of Lemons race where it is sure to cause plenty of head scratching and hearing impairment.

if the point was to the make the car fly, then worth the time...seems kinda useless and probably wont be pulling as much as it looks

seems extremely useless. For his time and money he could have built a sick MR2 but instead ended up with thst.

It's for a lemons race.

He wasn't trying to build a "sick mr2", and the money invested is very little.
