Hey everyone,
Trying to watch youtube videos and my computer display turns off for a few seconds, and returns back to an empty youtube video showing either a green or black screen. The audio still works but I can see nothing in the video. Windows 7 also informs me that the nvidia driver has been stopped and drivers 267.59 has been recovered (something along those lines).

What I have:
Evga 450gt
q8400 processor
asus p5 something mobo

What I tried:
- updating the drivers for video card
- Restarting the computer

I am sure it is a video card problem due to the inability to show displays on youtube. However, I think it can be a mobo issue as well. Any ideas?

Check and make sure the cooling fan isn't blocked our plugged up. Could be an overtemp issue. Also there's an app called GPU-Z that you should get and run. You can set it up to data log everything about your video card and it will give you an idea if it's actually temp related or something software/driver related.

Java may be crashing. Uninstall and reinstall.

Do you get a notification that the display driver has crashed?
